Nick Burgess has taken the decision to bring Spartak ‘96 Football Club to an end after some 20 odd years.
The decision was largely down to the fact that many off the new players that recently joined the club were never really “TAK” people.

No malice is meant in that, but there was no willingness to help out when matters got bad.
Players would only turn up when they wanted, only pay subs when they wanted and the list goes on.

With the increasing fees required and the lack of players wanting to join the club, enough was enough, and Spartak withdrew from the league back at the end of April.

Not only were the players showing no interest in the club but even the Leighton League seemed to take great joy in punishing the club that had been a member since it’s birth.

The club web site will continue (for now) as a memory to all the good things that took place, the loyal players and officials that have graced the club, old newspaper reports and video clips.
